The Director-General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Dr Francis Gurry, called on Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Law, Ms Sim Ann, on 13 July 2012. Ms Sim and Dr Gurry exchanged views about the recent amendments to IP-related legislation in Singapore and IP-related developments in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as avenues for greater cooperation between WIPO and Singapore.

During his visit to Singapore, Dr Gurry was also hosted to lunch by Permanent Secretary (Law), Dr Beh Swan Gin, and attended several IP-related events.
