Official Visit to Xiamen by Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Second Minister for Law Edwin Tong SC

  1. Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Second Minister for Law Edwin Tong SC made an official visit to Xiamen, China, from 29 to 30 March 2023.
  1. Minister Tong attended the International Mediation Summit 2023 organised by the China Council for the Promotion of Trade (CCPIT) on 30 March.  
  1. During the Summit, Minister Tong delivered an opening speech, where he shared that there is potential for Singapore and China to advance our legal cooperation given that we share common beliefs, objectives and interests. Minister Tong also outlined other possible areas of cooperation, including continuing to work together to enhance our dispute resolution services, as well as people-to-people exchange among the legal professionals.
